Remember the stamp? Well, it got on my pillow while I was sleeping. -_-;

The chicken skin was a bit salty, but the meat was very tender and good! The rice is much better than the pasta here. The reis pudding was a bit...different. It's the wrong rice for rice pudding, but the flavor was good. I put the right amount of sugar, because it was already a bit sweet.

I'm scrambling to apply to apartments. I really need a place to move into. Stressful.

Belgian beer is pretty good.

Eating dinner at a small Italian place while I wait for an apartment appointment. Pizzeria da Antonio.

Gnocchi alla Chef. 6 euro. It's hot, tastes great, and relatively affordable. Everything on the menu is around 5-6 euro. It's kind of janky, but ayy lmao.

I'm trying to find an apartment as close to downtown as possible.

Apple gummies. I feel obligated to eat these because my sister would want to.

Especially these. She would love these. I might get some cavities at this rate.

23.9.16 Friday

Arek, our teacher, gave us some unleavened bread to snack on. Very wholesome. You can buy similar food from Ikea.

I'm not a big fan of this ham thing. I'd rather have chicken. This salad is interesting in a good way.

I'd like to go to the Oper (opera) today, but I have no student ID. Apparently you need one or you can't go. Can't I just show my acceptance letter or something!? D:<

I'm still spending my time looking for apartments. In less than a week I'll be kicked out of this dorm and need to find somewhere to stay. I have one last appointment on Tuesday and then I can try to make a decision.

I also spent the last two days finishing my project (a comic) as fast as I could.

24.9.16 Saturday

Today we're going to France! Wow! It really is nice to live in Saarbrücken, if I can easily go to Frankreich.

FreedomPop global plan is amazing. I get data in France, too! This international sim card may be the most important preparation I made for traveling.

First thing's first. After 2 hours on the train, everyone is hungry. I want to something really French, and after walking a bit, we found a nice crepe place. Everything is pretty expensive around here. Meals easily cost upwards of 13 euro.

I wanted 2 crepes- one savory and one sweet.

The shop is very cute.

I ordered some wine.

It's a rose. Beautiful color.

I don't know "cheers" in French, so, Prost!

Savory crepe - Andouille sausage with chevre. I didn't like the sausage very much. There also was a pretty small amount of cheese, so the ingredient distribution was very uneven in the crepe.

Here are two creamier crepes from Matteo and Erina. These were much better. If you're going to get a crepe, definitely get a liquid/spread-based one.

This is a blueberry crepe with Vosgienne? They pour some blueberry alcohol and flambe it. You can see the flame on the upper right. It tasted much better with the alcohol (again, wasn't distributed evenly)

Segway tours

This is Kougelhopf. It's pretty plain, not too impressive. It's also pretty filling, so I don't recommend it. Buy actual pastries.

Matteo got a glaze croissant with nutty filling. The croissant wasn't crispy, but the filling was tasty.

Bookshelves so tall that you need a ladder are fun to look at.

There was a fair going on, and I wanted in. You buy tickets and spend them at the booths. I bought 6 euro worth.

Flammkuche is the thing to eat here. It's paper thin cheese bread with onions and meat.

If you like toppings more than bread, then flammkuche is for you. I like bread and sauce, so I'd rather have a pizza.

He tried a beer which was w/e. It was worth a shot. He kept the plastic cup for 1 euro.

I wanted to see if this wine was as good, so I ordered the 2007.

The color is absolutely beautiful, but I feel like I had better at Bad Dürkheim.

Matteo and I were talking about AVP and coincidentally, we saw a Predator on a motorcycle.

The rough translation for C -> F is 2x +30. 

I played with her eyes a little. Lightroom is a Godsend, and I'll keep thank you for it, Henrir.

There's apparently 11? of these around the city for an art exhibit. Also, dicks.

Plants on the windowsills look so nice.

They wanted to build a rectangular tower, but messed up. Lol.

The boats are now cafes.

You can donate coins here. There were plenty of coins down there.

Fantastic clock. The figures on top move on the hour.

Gears are really fun to look at.

The table has a bite out of it.

The color is really appealing. Pistachio? Not sure. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't get it again.

The bakery had some award for 4 consecutive years, so it must be good.

French eclairs are amazing! They're served chilled, so the cool chocolate and filling really please your mouth. The pastry part is plain in a good way. It's like a long chocolate cream puff, but the filling is thicker. Excellent, highly recommend. You can also try it in vanilla.

This was a danish-kind-of-thing. Bread with flan. The flan wasn't too sweet, so it was nice to eat. The bread, however, was a bit too thick. And, as I found out, It's possible to have a mouthful of just bread and no filling. That leaves a lot to be desired.

I tried a meringue, too.

It's very crunchy and kind of fun to eat. It wasn't that sweet, but I'd already had a bunch of sweets at this point so it was a bit much for me. It's an almond meringue. They also have chocolate meringues.

There's this huge dome-like thing surrounding the station entrance. I assume it's for weatherproofing.

I was using that sign to signal them to get closer together for the picture, and they mimicked it.

French pastries are much tastier than German ones.
France is more expensive than Germany.
French sounds nicer on the ears.
French beer is worse.

I bought a poppy seed and a sesame seed baguette. Too bad they weren't fresh. They're a lot harder than I want them to be.

I bought a colander, peeler, and cups. I need to buy things that help me eat vegetables, or I won't eat them. I only wanted one cup, but they didn't sell singles. D:<

After we came back, I watched "Shall We Dance" with Ayuka and Mie.

25.9.16 Sunday

It takes me hours to write these posts, and usually the weekend is spent doing it. I did go out today to buy laundry tokens, though.

20c per slice of homemade cheesecake. I had two slices. It was a good try. I could taste his sincerity. He can only get better from here, right?

Besides that, I ate all the bread. It's going to be inedible tomorrow.
Well, at least most of it. I tried to make a use for the cheese I don't like, so I grilled it.

It reminded me of raclette, because raclette also smells like ass. It was much better grilled, as if you can grill the smell out of it. I had it with pickles, and tomatoes.

Now my breath smells really bad, though. I'm going to go brush my teefs.
